Meat and fish

We now stock our own quality range of meat, game and poultry, sourced right here in the West Country by Jon Thorner’s. In addition, we are thrilled to be giving space to an award-winning local farm business that brings us outdoor bred local meats – The Rawston Farm Butchery from the Tarrant Valley with their minimum 21 days matured beef, pork and beef sausages, faggots and scotch eggs.

Seafoods of Stalbridge keep our fish counter well stocked with fresh fish and seafood, much of it caught along the Dorset and Devon coastline. Martyn and Nicki Else can also provide seafood and salmon to order, such as kiln roast salmon, lobster and even octopus! One of their seafood platters makes a great starter if you are entertaining.

Bread, cakes and puddings

Somerset family bakers Mortimers deliver their delicious bread and cakes daily. Other local contributions come from Thomas Fudges (sweet and savoury biscuits), Honeybuns (fabulous gluten-free slices), Taylors, Victoria O'Brien, Lavender Blue, Foxcombe, Jessica's and Taste's delicious cakes. Stalbridge-based Oh So Sweet produce magnificent and very naughty puddings as well as cupcakes and scones for our cafe.

As well as branded goods, Nisa supplies us with their very own Heritage range of groceries and chilled produce, including fresh meat and ready meals.
